Chris Nolan's Presentation

In Chris Nolan's presentation we learned a lot of stuff about Google and how to use it. He told us that Google was ranked in large part by how many people have linked to them because it gives them more credibility. He told us that popular results are more towards the top, scholarly resources may often times be much further down on the list.
I learned from him that you have to be careful with government run sites because they may often times have biase information. I found this very surprising because you would often think that a government ran site is the way to go! But after I thought about it I realized that he was completely right because different politicians and parties would of course have different views.
I found out that often times Google books does not have an entire book, but because of Trinity's database you may be able to find it on there or sometimes even Google books may have it.
